Steinbach man charged in Emerson homicide

A Steinbach man has been arrested in connection to a homicide that took place in Emerson last week.

A 48-year-old man was found dead in his home the evening of Friday, March 1. 

RCMP Major Crime Services investigators were on the scene and determined  it was an isolated incident and there was no risk to public safety. 

Police say the victim and the suspect were known to each other.

Ryan Wiens, 28, was taken into custody on Sunday, March 3 and charged with second degree murder.
