Carman Legion Ladies Auxiliary president Barb Doerksen recently presented donations to several local organizations in support of community initiatives. From left are Elaine Owen accepting a $1,000 donation on behalf of the Dufferin Agricultural Society (DAS), Edwin Pritchard receiving $500 for the Carman Beavers, Cubs and Scouts, and Fred Colvin accepting $1,000 for Riverview Legion Place. The auxiliary also donated $500 toward a community poppy banner project led by Louise Pethybridge, who was unable to attend the presentations.
