Flashback: Carman Collegiate sets track records

Date:

Carman Collegiate athletes dominated the Midland and MacDonald Division Track Meet in May 1963, with both the boys and girls capturing aggregate titles. The girls scored 57 points to finish ahead of Roland (39) and Sanford (38), while the boys earned 74 points, topping Sanford (67) and Morris (61). It marked the first aggregate championship for Carman’s girls and the second for the boys, who had previously won in 1956. Carman also claimed victories in the girls’ primary, junior, intermediate and senior relays, along with the overall grand slam for total points.
