Miami School ends year with bubble run

Miami School wrapped up the year with some bubbly fun on June 19 as more than 120 students took part in a Bubble Fun Run through town.

Organized by teacher Theresa Knox as a year-end windup for the Grades 3 to 6 run club, the five-kilometre event invited students, staff, families and community members to jog the bubble-filled route together.

“The kids really enjoyed the sprinklers that were set up for them to run through,” said Knox. “Thank you to everyone who came out to join the run and to those who cheered on our runners.”

The run ended with freezies and a picnic. It was the second time the school has hosted a bubble run — the first held before the pandemic — and Knox hopes to make it an annual tradition.
