The commission’s third annual ice-painting event helped take the edge off the pain of losing the ice when spring arrives and winter sports activities wind down.

“Arborg-Bifrost recreation held an evening last week where people could come and paint the arena ice before we took it out,” said recreation director Tom Chwaliboga. “The rec centre provided all the supplies and everyone brought their creativity.”

People paid tribute to the Arborg Ice Dawgs, the Easter bunny, family members and created other icy works of art.
