Organizers say the entries — from decorative planters to imaginative backyard hideaways — showcased the region’s abundant gardening talent. In fact, the quality was so strong that judges opted for a random draw rather than selecting winners based on scoring. Photos of all submissions are posted on the club’s Facebook page.

This year’s winners are Susan H. (Gimli), Jean D. (Winnipeg Beach) and Barb A. (Sandy Hook).

“A huge bouquet of thanks” goes out to everyone who submitted their garden projects. With winter settling in and local gardens now put to bed, club members say it’s the perfect time to dream and plan for the 2026 growing season.

The Gimli Garden Club is welcoming new members. Informal gatherings are held on the third Monday of January and February at 2 p.m. at the Gimli Multi-Purpose Building, with formal meetings resuming in March. Those interested in joining can contact Rose Marie at 1-204-642-8678 for more information.
