The Carman and Community Chamber of Commerce has lots of events and activities going on over the course of the summer that locals can get involved and take part in.
The Chamber is looking forward to its Annual Golf Tournament on June 13. This event promises a day filled with friendly competition and networking opportunities at the beautiful Carman Golf and Curling Club.
At the tournament, there will be a putting challenge to win an awesome cooler from Home Hardware. And don’t forget to get your tickets for the fantastic fire pit courtesy of Beukema Pneumatics. Tickets are limited, and the craftsmanship on this pit is extraordinary.
“Thank you to those of you that have sponsored, entered a team or donated towards the success of the event,” said Jodi Winkler, Executive Director of the Carman and Community Chamber of Commerce. “At press time, we are four teams short of a sell-out, so there is still time to join us for a fantastic day on the greens.”
The Chamber also wants to extend its heartfelt gratitude to Scott and Sheralee at MMJS Law Offices in Carman for hosting the After-Hours Business Mixer on May 23. It was a wonderful evening of networking and camaraderie, and the Chamber appreciates their hospitality and support.
Also, mark your calendars for the Carman Fair Parade on July 13. This event is a beloved tradition that brings together families, friends, and local businesses to celebrate our community spirit.
“We look forward to seeing the creative floats and joyful faces along the parade route,” said Winkler. “Registration is open on the Chamber website, and we hope to break our record of 110 floats.”
On Aug. 13, the Chamber is planning a fun, family-friendlyy Disc Golf Tournament. This event has grown in popularity and participation since the addition of the new Disc Golf course in town last fall. More details will be sent out soon, but this will be a great opportunity for both seasoned players and newcomers to enjoy an evening of fun and friendly competition.
Winkler is also proud to be collaborating on the Clearwater Memorial Project with the Boyne River Keepers, Carman Wellness Connections, Communities in Bloom, and the Town of Carman.
“This initiative aims to enhance the Friends and Family playground in the North End of town, as well as create a lasting memorial that reflects the tragic event that occurred earlier this year. Communication regarding this project will be circulated in the coming weeks, and I hope that you will consider being a part of this community project.”
In support of the Clearwater Memorial Playground project, the Chamber is excited to announce that preparations are well underway for World River Day on Sept. 21.
“This year’s event will be bigger and better than ever, celebrating our beautiful Boyne River as well as showcasing our amazing community. We look forward to your participation in this significant event.”
The Carman and Community Chamber of Commerce profoundly appreciates the continuous support and involvement of its members.
“Your dedication is what makes the Carman and Community Chamber of Commerce a thriving organization,” said Winkler. “As we head into the summer months, we wish everyone a wonderful season filled with sun and relaxation. We hope to see you at one of our upcoming events and thank you once again for your unwavering support.”
