Graysville 4-H Horse Club holds achievement and awards

Date:

Last week, the Graysville 4-H Horse Club held its annual summer camp, which included its achievement and awards show. 13 club members participated in the summer camp.

Throughout the camp, the young 4-H members learned about show etiquette, goat tying, horse anatomy and chiropractic, horse behaviour, and jumping and prepared their showcase for achievement.

“They had lots of riding time and learning at the camp,” said Rina Dyck of the Graysville 4-H Horse Club. “We also had a club BBQ, pool time and slip and slide to help the kids cool off from all of the day’s activities.”

On the final day, for achievement, each 4-H club member presented their showcase to a large crowd of friends and family. This was followed by achievement and camp awards.

Overall, Dyck noted that it was another great year of 4-H in Graysville and that planning will begin for the following year.

“Our 2023-24 season year is now done,” said Dyck. “We will start up in the fall and welcome new club members at that time.”
