St. Andrews’ Randy Antonio received the Emergency Management Exemplary Service Award (EMESA) for his long-time volunteer contributions to local, provincial, national, and international Search and Rescue organizations. EMESA’s are awarded to Canadians who have dedicated their lives to emergency management and made outstanding contributions in their field.

Antonio accepted his medal in Ottawa, Ont. on Feb. 26. Pictured is Antonio (centre) with Jeffery Hutchison, Associate Deputy Minster of Public Safety Canada and Sherry Romanado, Parliamentary Secretary to the President of the King’s Privy Council for Canada and Minister of Emergency Preparedness.
