Bloodshots release sixth song, “The Bay Blues”
A local Selkirk band has released a new single in anticipation to the launch of their first album.
The Bloodshots, a Rock & Roll band, supplied their fans with their new song, “The Bay Blues,” on July 26.
This is the band’s sixth single since releasing their first hit song, “Hot,” in 2019.
“The song is written in reference to the San Francisco Bay area,” said The Bloodshots’ Frontman CJ Loanne.
Loanne was slated to take a very important trip to San Francisco, but the situation quickly changed.
“It was going to be a pretty important trip, but then it didn’t become an important trip,” Loanne explained.
“The Bay Blues” encompasses Loanne’s emotions and journey while in San Francisco.
“I dodged a bullet because things didn’t pan out,” he added.
In November, Loanne and his fellow band members Kieth Skazyk, Ben Hodges and Kate Childs recorded several new songs for their upcoming album.
“The Bay Blues” is the first song from their November recording session and the band plans to release the other singles within the next few months.
“These songs will go alongside the five we have already released to make our first full-length album,” said Loanne.
Be on the lookout for The Bloodshot’s first album in early 2025.
You can listen to “The Bay Blues” on all music streaming platforms, and The Bloodshots will release the official lyric video on YouTube in the upcoming weeks.
Loanne invites you to join The Bloodshots with a live performance in Winnipeg on Aug. 31.
“People can come out and hear the new songs that we are going to release.”
The Bloodshots will perform at night on Aug. 31 at The Toad in the Hole, 155 Osborne St. Stay tuned to the Bloodshots or Toad In the Hole’s social media pages for an exact performance time.
In the meantime, you can find all of The Bloodshot’s hit singles now on any platform where you can stream music.
