Tower Tap Lager is a hit with patrons at launch party at Selkirk Legion

Date:

It was a full house at the Selkirk Legion earlier this month when residents attended the launch of Tower Tap Lager.

The lager was made through a partnership using the water from the City of Selkirk and brewed by Torque Brewing. The band Up in Flames played live at this event and it was definitely a successful night as the Legion sold out of their supply of the new limited batch brew of four kegs or 240 pints in two hours.

A news release from the City of Selkirk indicated that this isn’t the end of the partnership saying, “Selkirk and Torque are currently working on when and where the next Tower Tap pour will take place but given the popularity — it’s a sure bet it will be available again, if even for a short time. When that time comes, the city, along with the local establishment that will serve it, will make an announcement.”
