Two fires in St. Andrews blazed but Fire Dept. and RCMP responded quickly

Date:

Last month, Selkirk RCMP and the St. Andrews Fire Department responded to a structure fire on Henry Road in the RM of St. Andrews. When local RCMP arrived, the structure was fully engulfed in flame. Investigation revealed that there were no occupants inside.

While at this call for service on March 14, and about 15 minutes after the first call came in, Selkirk RCMP and the St. Andrews Fire Department were informed of another structure fire on Schmid Road in St. Andrews. Police and fire attended this scene as well. This fire was in a hay barn with no occupants.

Police continue to investigate both incidents.
