2026 Festival finale

Student musicians wrapped up the 2026 Rockwood Festival of the Arts (RFOTA) with a day of band and instrumental performances at Stonewall Collegiate on April 16.

The event featured ensembles from the Collège Stonewall Collegiate band, Teulon Collegiate band, École Stonewall Centennial School Grade 7 band and École Stonewall Centennial School Grade 8 band. A number of students were also highlighted in solo and small ensemble performances. Raegan Clark of Stonewall performed on violin, while Owen Ward of Teulon Collegiate showcased both a snare drum solo and a multiple-percussion piece. Chloe Cheuk of Stonewall performed on trombone, and Parker Lynn Ritchie and Ayva Dawson teamed up for a clarinet duet. Fiona Adams and Vanya Debruil, also of Stonewall, performed as part of a woodwind ensemble. Festival scholarship awards are scheduled to be presented in May at the Quarry Park Heritage Arts Centre. The RFOTA annual general meeting and volunteer appreciation is planned for Wednesday, May 27 at 7 p.m. at the Stonewall Karaten Dojo building, 404 3rd Ave. S., Stonewall.
