Hawks soar to tourney title

The St. Laurent / Aurèle Lemoine (Co-op) Hawks varsity girls’ basketball team captured the championship at the Hamiota tournament this past weekend, displaying outstanding teamwork, determination and sportsmanship throughout the competition. Supporting one another on and off the court, the team played with heart and resilience while representing their school with pride. Their hard work paid off in a well-earned tournament victory. The Hawks defeated the Goose Lake Angels 60-30 in the final and earlier in the tournament defeated Strathclair Skyhawks 58-28 and the Hamiota Huskies 46-33.
