The number of registered homeschool students in the region rose by one this school year.
In 2024-25, there are 79 students who are home schooled, made up of 24 students in kindergarten to Grade 4, 32 students in Grade 5 to 8, and 23 students in Grade 9 to 12.
Last school year, from 2023-24, there were 78 home schooled students from 32 families.

- Interlake School Division buildings lowered their flags to half-mast in memory of Nello Alotmare, minister of Education and Early Childhood Learning. Altomare died on Jan. 14.
- For the 2024-25 school year, a total of 86 students submitted school-of-choice applications within the Interlake School Division. In addition, 25 students from other school divisions applied to attend a school of choice in the Interlake School Division, while 87 local students applied to attend a school of choice outside the Interlake School Division.
- The school board appointed Heidi Reeb as the interim principal of Teulon Elementary School effective Jan. 6.
- Kelly Kimball from the Town of Stonewall and Amanda Clarke, chair of the parent advisory council for Ecole RW Bobby Bend School, spoke to the school board about their interest in running a recreational before and after school program. They’re seeking a suitable space for the program, and they requested that the school board help to remove barriers to use Ecole RW Bobby Bend School for the program.
