In other council news:

• Rockwood council defeated a request from the Stony Mountain Flames U13 team for a silent auction item or monetary donation. The Flames hosted their annual tournament from Jan. 24 to 26. 

• Council tabled a request from the Interlake Off Road Corp. for non-exclusive use of the municipally governed former railbed lands for an all-season multi-use recreational trail. The trail would go from the railbed at the north boundary of the municipality at Provincial Road 229 (Road 102N) at Komarno, south to Road 78N and then east to Road 7E where the railbed continues to Provincial Road 321 (Road 73N) at Stony Mountain for a total of 56 kilometres.

• The RM of Rockwood and the RM of Armstrong will enter into a mutual aid services agreement. In addition, the RM of Rockwood and the RM of Woodlands will enter into a mutual aid services agreement.  

• Rockwood Reeve Wes Taplin and Lakeside MLA Trevor King joined students at Stony Mountain Elementary for I Love to Read Month.
