Spring fashion show returns to support CLI programs

Date:

Community Living Interlake is getting ready to strut its stuff at the annual Spring Fashion Show, set for Saturday, April 12 at the Quarry Park Heritage Arts Centre.

Two shows are planned for the day, with proceeds supporting programs for individuals with developmental disabilities. The first event, a Tea Time Matinee, begins at 2 p.m., with doors opening at 1 p.m. Guests arriving early will be treated to a performance by the Young Magicians of Manitoba.

The evening show begins at 7 p.m., with doors opening at 6. Between the runway action and entertainment, guests can enjoy refreshments prepared by CLI volunteer Jacquie Derewianchuk, as well as treats from Something Beautiful. Good Neighbour Brewing Co. will also be on hand, offering product samples, items for sale and a presentation before intermission.

A silent auction and 50/50 draw will be running during both shows, and fashion lovers can explore clothing samples from Swimwear Express on-site. Items from several retailers will also be available for purchase online, including Something Beautiful, Red Apple – Stonewall, Packers – Selkirk and Sunday Grey, a locally owned online store by Tegan Pluchinske. Sunday Grey will have an iPad at the show to help guests place orders.

Models for both shows will be friends and family of CLI.

Tickets for the matinee are $25 for adults and $12 for children under 12. Evening show tickets are $35. All tickets are available at Something Beautiful Café or online at stonewallsomethingbeautiful.com.

Every dollar raised goes directly toward supporting individuals who receive services from Community Living Interlake.
