Grand slam donation

The Winning for Wes slow-pitch tournament on Sept. 16 raised a grand total of $18,000 for CancerCare Manitoba. A full slate of 15 teams participated in the Balmoral-based event in honour of Wes Killbery, who lost his battle with lung cancer in April. The organizers presented the cheque on Sept. 19.
