SMRFD Open House

Date:

The Stony Mountain Rockwood Fire Department hosted its annual Open House and hot dog lunch in recognition of Fire Prevention Week, held each year in early October. Although rainy weather moved the festivities indoors, children enjoyed the Sparky the Fire Dog bouncer set up inside a truck bay and had the chance to explore the fire trucks. Clockwise from top left: Fire Chief Marcel McIvor served hot dogs to Sophie and Elliott Desjardins; Mike Sagriff and Reid Byle handed out fire hats, safety information, colouring sheets and volunteer recruitment details; Siena Dekezel tried out the driver’s seat of a fire truck with Hayden Hiraoka; while the little ones enjoyed the bouncer.
