Boughton commits to Bisons women’s volleyball

Date:

Add Stonewall’s Sydney Boughton to the list of future players for the University of Manitoba Bisons women’s volleyball team.

On Thursday, the Bisons announced the commitment of the five-foot-eight libero for the 2027-28 season.

Boughton is currently in Grade 11 at Collège Sturgeon Heights Collegiate in Winnipeg, where she serves as captain of the Huskies varsity girls’ volleyball team.

She also competes at the club level with the Junior Bisons Gold, helping lead the squad to a provincial title this past season.

A Manitoba High Schools Athletic Association provincial all-star and Volleyball Manitoba provincial MVP, Boughton is regarded as a top recruit for the Bisons, who are coming off a U Sports national championship in 2024-25.
