Lord Selkirk splits three games in WHSHL

The Lord Selkirk Royals went 1–2 last week in Winnipeg High School Hockey League Platinum  Promotions Division action and sit 10th in the standings with a 6–7 record through 14 games.

Lord Selkirk opened the week with a 6–1 home loss to Beliveau on Monday, Dec. 8. Jaxon Beasley scored the Royals’ lone goal on the power play in the first period.

The Royals then dropped a narrow 2–1 road decision to Beliveau on Thursday, Dec. 11, with Chase Brydges scoring for Lord Selkirk in the second period.

Lord Selkirk rebounded Friday, Dec. 12 with a 2–1 road win over Vincent Massey. Nolan Dear scored in the second period to provide the Royals’ offence in the victory.

Lord Selkirk returns to action Wednesday, Dec. 17 with a 4 p.m. road game in Steinbach, followed by a Friday, Dec. 19 matchup at Oak Park at 3:45 p.m.
