Smile Cookies on sale at Gimli’s Tim Hortons April 28 to May 4
Evergreen Basic Needs is teaming up with Tim Hortons in Gimli for a sweet fundraising initiative from April 28 to May 4.
The popular Smile Cookie campaign offers a tasty way to support the local non-profit while indulging in a treat. During the week-long event, Tim Hortons restaurants across Canada will sell chocolate chunk cookies decorated with cheerful pink and blue icing smiles.
One hundred per cent of proceeds from each Smile Cookie sold will be donated to local charities in the communities where they’re purchased. In Gimli, all funds will go to Evergreen Basic Needs.
The campaign is part of Tim Hortons’ national effort to support grassroots organizations. Now in its 25th year, Smile Cookie has raised more than $150 million for community groups across the country. Last year alone, the campaign generated $18.8 million nationwide.
New this year is an ooey, gooey chocolate chunk version of the beloved cookie.
Cookies can be purchased individually, or by the half-dozen or dozen.
