Carman Gun Show returns April 4 with sold-out tables

Date:

It’s a sign of spring in the community as the Carman Gun Show returns April 4, with organizers reporting all vendor tables are sold out once again.

The show runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Carman Community Hall, featuring a mix of returning and new vendors. Admission is $8 at the door, with children 12 and under admitted free.

Displays will include firearms, ammunition and reloading supplies, along with two knife makers. An on-site vendor will also offer sharpening services for knives, axes and chainsaw chains throughout the show.

Now in its 12th year, the spring event is typically the most well-attended, as residents look forward to getting out following the winter months.

Proceeds from this year’s raffle will support the Carman-Dufferin Fire Training Centre. Funds raised from the fall show raffle were previously donated to the local handi-van.

Attendees can also take part in door prize draws, with Tim Hortons gift cards among the giveaways, along with hats and pens.

Food will once again be provided by Crazy Lady Catering, a popular feature at past events.

Organizer Bruce Reid said the future of the show will depend on continued strong attendance, along with the health and availability of the organizing team.
