École R.W. Bobby Bend School’s annual musical continues to be a highlight of the school year, bringing together all Grade 4 students in a wide range of roles.

Preparation begins months in advance, with auditions for speaking parts starting in early January. Those cast in speaking and dance roles dedicate countless lunch hours to rehearsals, demonstrating strong commitment, teamwork and perseverance. This year’s production, We’re All in This Together, directed and choreographed by principal Patricia Crockatt, was inspired by the 20th anniversary of the film High School Musical. The movie helped reintroduce musicals to a younger generation, highlighting themes of individuality, belonging and the importance of diverse talents within a school community. The production featured songs students enjoy from a variety of musicals and films, woven into a script that reflects familiar elements of daily life at the school, making the story both personal and meaningful for performers and audiences alike.
