McHappy Day raises funds to help families of sick kids

Date:

Mayors and other members of our community teamed up to support McHappy Day and the Jail and Bail event that supported Ronald McDonald House which provides housing for the families of children who are ill or injured and getting care from pediatric hospitals. The event raised $15,000 total, up $6,000 over last year. This difference was largely due to efforts with the jail and bail. Pictured in the Jail and Bail, St. Andrews Mayor Joy Sul, St. Clements Mayor Debbie Fiebelkorn Selkirk Mayor Larry Johannson, Inspector Chris Lambert and Constable Paul Human from our local RCMP, and Marcel Lemire. McDonalds employee Erik Anderson also volunteered his talents to the event singing his original song Making Dreams and Wishes Come True.
