Gimli Veterinary Services is celebrating 30 years of serving pet owners, farmers and animal lovers throughout the Interlake.
The milestone marks three decades since Dr. Lisa Taylor launched the veterinary practice from her garage in Komarno. What began as a small operation has since grown into a well-established clinic serving clients from across the region.

Dr. Lisa Taylor, founder of Gimli Veterinary Services, and Interlake-Gimli MLA Derek Johnson mark the clinic’s 30th anniversary in Gimli
According to Interlake-Gimli MLA Derek Johnson, the clinic’s growth reflects years of dedication to animal care and community service.
The practice later expanded to a location on Centre Avenue in Gimli, where it operated for many years before moving to its current facility.
Johnson said the anniversary recognizes not only Taylor’s vision and commitment but also the efforts of the veterinarians, veterinary technicians and support staff who have contributed to the clinic’s success over the past three decades.
Over the years, Gimli Veterinary Services has provided care for companion animals and livestock while supporting families and producers through both routine and difficult situations.
Johnson noted that the clinic has become a trusted resource for pet owners and farmers throughout the Interlake, offering professional advice, treatment and compassionate care.
The 30-year milestone highlights the important role veterinary services play in rural communities, supporting animal health, agricultural operations and the well-being of local residents.
Johnson congratulated Taylor and the entire Gimli Veterinary Services team on the anniversary and thanked them for their contributions to the region.
“Thank you for your contributions to our region and for the exceptional service you continue to provide,” Johnson said in a social media post recognizing the occasion. “Wishing everyone at Gimli Veterinary Services a very happy 30th anniversary and continued success for many years to come.”
