Stonewall United got the result they desired in their return to play after last week’s rainout.
United hosted the 16th place Wasps on Friday at Veterans Memorial Sports Complex where some big saves from keeper Steffan Hillock provided them the boost they needed to excel at the other end.
They ultimately earned a 4-2 triumph with a pair of goals by Chris Dobson leading the way, while Riley Sherlock also found the net, and David Deroche capitalized on a penalty kick.
United’s record improved to 3-2 with the win as they moved into the top half of the crowded Manitoba Major Soccer League Division 3 table.
They now look ahead to a meeting with the St. James Spurs (2-4) on Thursday in Stonewall.
