Balmoral rocked it!

Date:

The Snake Oil concert in Balmoral was a tremendous success.

The Balmoral Rec Centre was filled with over 600 attendees who rocked out to Snake Oil on April 27. Throughout the night, the band paid tribute to a variety of ‘80s musicians and kept the energy high. The vocals, music, sound, costumes and light show were all spectacular.

Great set, Snake Oil! Thank you!

The Balmoral Rec Centre extends its gratitude to numerous individuals for their contributions to the success of this event. Over 60 volunteers dedicated their time towards tasks such as ticket sales, set up, concert assistance, and clean up, truly showcasing the collective efforts of our community.

A special shoutout to Don Slater and Travis Williams for their exceptional efforts in coordinating the concert. Their extensive planning ensured the smooth execution of this event. Many thanks, gentlemen! Excellent job!

Thank you very much to the following event sponsors: Rockwood Motor Inn, Parker Clark Chartered Accountants, Stonewall Home Hardware, Rutherford Farms and NorthStar Genetics. It is always appreciated to have local businesses support our community centre.

A big thank you to all who purchased tickets and joined in on the event. The fundraiser was a smashing success, bringing in over $18,000 in profit. This was made possible by the sale of 700 tickets, generous sponsorships, exciting 50/50 prizes, and an abundance of delicious food and beverages that were enjoyed by everyone.

But perhaps the true measure of success was the ton of fun everyone had. Watching a full house dance and sing to the excellence of Snake Oil the entire night (without any altercations) speaks volumes to how much fun the awesome crowd had. The concert was a blast! Thank you very much for supporting the Balmoral Rec Centre. Rock on!
