The Directors of the Boyne Valley Hostel Corporation (1998) proudly announce that the organization has officially rebranded to “Boyne Lodge Campus Charity Inc.” This significant change was approved by the corporation’s membership at the Annual General Meeting held on Oct. 24.
Founded in 1967, the Boyne Valley Hostel Corporation was pivotal in providing assisted living facilities for seniors seeking a supportive lifestyle. Over the years, the organization evolved, adapting to changing care needs, ultimately transforming into a fully supported long-term care home. In 1998, the Central Region Health Authority assumed management, leading to the corporation’s re-incorporation as a registered charity.
In collaboration with Boyne Care Holdings, a community non-profit corporation overseeing the construction of a new Boyne Lodge, Boyne Valley Hostel Corporation was the partner charity responsible for managing donations and issuing charitable tax receipts. After completing the Lodge project, the corporation refocused on its core mandate—raising funds to support programs and projects at Boyne Lodge and Boyne Towers.
Recognizing the need for clarity in its role amid confusion between Boyne Care Holdings and Boyne Valley Hostel Corporation, the Board of Directors decided to change the corporate name. The new name, “Boyne Lodge Campus Charity Inc.,” more accurately reflects the organization’s commitment to supporting the Boyne Lodge and the broader campus of related facilities, both present and future.
“We are excited about this new chapter in our organization’s history. The name ‘Boyne Lodge Campus Charity Inc.’ aligns more closely with our mission, and we are confident that these changes will foster increased community engagement and support,” said Kelly Seward, Board Chairperson.
In addition to the name change, Boyne Lodge Campus Charity Inc. has developed a new logo and tagline. The organization is also in the process of creating a website to strengthen connections with its donor community. These strategic steps aim to reinforce the organization’s dedication to continuing the legacy of attracting community support to enhance the quality of life for residents in Boyne Lodge, Boyne Towers, and future facilities.
