The Carman Cougars celebrate after capturing the Hockey Manitoba Co-ed U13 Rural A provincial championship held March 13–15 in Virden. Carman defeated Swan Valley 9–5 in the final after earlier victories over Thompson (8–1) in the semifinal, Ste. Anne (8–1) in the quarterfinal and Brandon (10–5) during round-robin play to claim the provincial banner. The U13 Carman Cougars Gold also captured the PVMHA U13 Gold division title, defeating the Morden Hawks in the league playoff final after Noah Friesen scored with 0.4 seconds remaining to force overtime and then netted the winner with 10 seconds left in the extra frame.
