Roads to Success: one-day drop-in event Oct. 24

Date:

Carman Wellness Connections invites everyone to a special drop-in event, “Roads to Success,” on Oct. 24 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Carman Active Living Centre.

This is your chance to access vital services like applying for Social Insurance Numbers, Manitoba Birth Certificates and Manitoba Health cards. Whether you need new documents or replacements, help will be available both in-person and online.

This year features an exciting lunch-and-learn format with guest speakers. The RCMP kicks things off with valuable insights on scam avoidance. Following that are panels discussing local education and training opportunities, along with banking tips for budgeting and savings.

Various information booths will be present, offering resources on employment, health, fire safety, and more — all designed to empower community members in their journeys toward success.

Staffed information booths will include Canada Revenue Agency, Service Canada, Regional Connections Immigration and Employment services, Manitoba Possible, PRSD, Financial institutions, local Chamber, Health, Fire safety and Carman Wellness Connections.

Wendy Durand of the Carman Wellness Connection encourages everyone to take advantage of this open event. Enjoy some food while learning something new or simply explore resources designed for personal growth within your community.

If transportation is a concern, don’t hesitate to reach out for assistance through the Carman Handi-Van service. This inclusive event is perfect for bringing along friends or family as together you discover valuable services aimed at navigating your own paths toward success.
