Gimli’s golden girls headed to curling nationals

The 2025 Asham Curling U18 Provincial Championships was held in Morden at the Morden Curling Club from Jan. 1-5. 

Gimli’s Team McPherson  defeated Team Buchalter 9-5 to win the women’s title. 

Team Sugden beat Team Zacharias 6-4 for the men’s title. 

These four teams will be headed to the 2025 Canadian Under-18 Curling Championships from Feb. 16-22 in Saskatoon.

Team Graham of the Gimli Curling Club finished with a record of 2-2. 

Team Fehr of the Morden Curling Club finished with 1-3 record. 

Carman’s Team Krahn finished with a 5-2 record. Krahan lost to team McPherson in the semi-finals 7-6.
