Ice Dawgs getting back on track following first win of season

Date:

It was a week off for the Arborg Ice Dawgs, who are coming off their first win of the Capital Region Junior Hockey League season.

The break provided time to regroup and reflect on a timely 4-3 overtime victory against the Lundar Falcons on Oct. 12. Arborg will look to build on that momentum when they once again face the Falcons this Friday.

Through five games, the Ice Dawgs sit seventh in the CRJHL standings with a 0-4-0-1-0 record and two points. Rookie defenceman Tytan Johnson leads the team in scoring with seven assists.

Head coach Jack Einarson’s squad will host Lundar at the Arborg & District Arena on Friday at 8 p.m. It’s the club’s lone matchup this week before they return home to face St. Malo the following Friday.
