Date:

A search warrant executed by Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Pinaymootang First Nation has led to the arrest of two Winnipeg men, including one who was wanted in connection with a robbery.

Gypsumville RCMP received information on Jan. 20 about suspected drug trafficking at a property in Pinaymootang First Nation.

On Jan. 22, officers executed a search warrant at a residence on School Road, arresting two males. During the search, police seized weapons, firearms, jewelry and gang-related vests.

Tristan Baptiste, 25, and Wayne Kejick, 42, both of Winnipeg, have been charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose (three counts), possession of property obtained by crime (two counts) and possession of weapons contrary to a court order.

Police said Baptiste was also wanted on a robbery charge at the time of his arrest.

Both men have been remanded into custody. The investigation is continuing.
