Storm FC knock off undefeated Prairie United

Date:

Storm FC became the first team to hand Prairie United a loss this season.

After their Tuesday night match against the Red River Rovers was rained out, the Arborg-based club turned its attention to a Sunday evening matchup against the Manitoba Major Soccer League Division 5 leaders in Winnipeg.

Storm struck early and often, cruising to a 3-0 victory over Prairie United at Republic of Manitobah Park.

Dylan Loewen, Zach Kornelsen and Tyson Kornelsen scored as Storm handed Prairie United its first loss of the 2026 season.

With the win, Storm improved to 5-2-1, moving into a share of second place while boasting a league-best plus-12 goal differential.

Storm will look to extend its unbeaten streak to six matches on July 9 when it hosts winless Free Agents FC at Buhler Recreation Park.

Upcoming game:

• Thursday, July 9 vs. Free Agents FC, 7:30 p.m. at Buhler Recreation Park
