Two dead in Arborg-area crash

Two people are dead and a third remains in hospital following a single-vehicle collision near Arborg on May 29.

Gimli RCMP responded to the crash at approximately 3:33 p.m. on Highway 68 near Road 14 East.

Police said officers arrived to find a damaged vehicle in a field south of the intersection. The driver was trapped inside the vehicle, while two passengers had been ejected.

The driver, a 34-year-old woman from Arborg, was transported to hospital by STARS air ambulance with serious, life-threatening injuries.

A 38-year-old woman and a 51-year-old man, both from Arborg, were pronounced dead at the scene.
