Kurl for Kids raises $11k

Fourteen teams came out to the Altona Curling Club Saturday to take part in the second annual K4K Charity Funspiel. The day raised $11,152 for the child and youth rehabilitation centre at Boundary Trails Health Centre. “It exceeded what we were hoping for,” shared organizer Zoé Fraser. “It went wonderfully. It was a perfect day, and everybody had a lot of fun.” Organizers send thanks out to everyone who came out to curl, made a donation, or sponsored the event. “We’re really grateful for all the donations, and we can’t thank our curlers enough for allowing this event to happen and for being the reason why we raised so much,” Fraser said.
