Roland couple win $100,000 in EXTRA draw

Date:

We’ve all heard their incredible stories of sudden wealth and life-changing moments. It’s the stuff dreams are made of – that magical feeling when you realize that fate has smiled upon you, and your bank account is about to get a serious boost.

Roland’s Charlie Neufeld and Christina Boschmann couldn’t believe their eyes after checking their LOTTO MAX ticket and discovering they had won $100,000 on the Jan. 2 EXTRA draw.

Boschmann checked the ticket a couple of days after the draw.

“I was at the store and gave the ticket to the store clerk to check,” she said. “I won $17 and a Free Play on my other tickets – I was not expecting such a big win on this one.”

“It feels almost unbelievable,” she continued. “I always thought winning the lottery was something that happened to other people, but it isn’t – it happened to us!”

The couple said they have a plan for their recent windfall.

“We’re going to pay some bills and take time to think about what to do with the rest,” said Neufeld.

The couple purchased their winning LOTTO MAX and EXTRA ticket at the Shoppers Drug Mart located at 777 Norquay Drive in Winkler. They added EXTRA to their ticket for $1. Their EXTRA-winning number was 5982186.
