Second annual Red River Metis Day fun for all

Date:

Gimli’s Pavilion Park was packed with entertainment, games, food and Artisan vendors Saturday for the 2nd Annual Red River Metis Day Gathering.

Dynamic duo

Crafting workshops, yard games and a fun foam pit had the children busy throughout the day, with water and popsicles provided to beat the heat.

Riverton and District Friendship Centre catered the event with Bannock Tacos, refreshments and plenty of water throughout the day.

Fiddle player Dylan Gaudry and band The Breeze kicked off the afternoon with live music, performing two sets in the heat before breaking for water and shade. They continued playing while the United Thunder dancers wowed all in attendance with their masterful footwork.
