Fishermen looking to bounce back against Warriors

Date:

The Selkirk Fishermen are eager for another shot at the St. Malo Warriors as they prepare for a Friday night rematch at the Selkirk Recreation Complex.

Selkirk is coming off its first loss of the season — a 9-4 setback to the defending champion Warriors on Nov. 9 — following a 9-0 start. With the clubs now tied 1-1 in their season series, Friday’s game offers Selkirk a chance to reclaim momentum and reassert itself among the league’s top contenders.

The Fishermen will close out their three-game homestand on Sunday when they host another strong opponent, the Beausejour Comets. Selkirk holds a 1-0 edge in that season series after a decisive win in October.

Upcoming Games

Friday, Nov. 21: vs. St. Malo Warriors, 7:30 p.m., Selkirk Recreation Complex

Sunday, Nov. 23: vs. Beausejour Comets, 3 p.m., Selkirk Recreation Complex
