Interlake locals named to Baseball Manitoba provincial women’s teams

Date:

Baseball Manitoba have officially released their rosters for the women’s teams that will represent Manitoba nationally this summer across the 14U, 16U, 19U, and Women’s Provincial Team levels.

Interlake locals Olivia Hagen and Ella Holm, both of Stonewall, along with Arborg’s Jamie Johnson and Clandeboye’s Liberty Aime were all named to the Women’s Provincial Team roster that will have home field this summer at the 2026 Women’s National Championships.

Optimist Park in Winnipeg was named the host of nationals earlier this year, and will see the four locals, along with the rest of Team Manitoba taking on provincial teams from around Canada in the four-day competition from July 9-12.

Due to their age, Aime, Hagen, and Holm were also picked for the 19U Women’s Provincial Team and will represent Manitoba at 2026 19U Women’s National Championships from July 30-Aug. 2 in Saskatoon, SK.

Hagen was also selected to the 16U Girls Provincial Team that is head coached by Lundar’s Blaine Fortin, making it the third provincial team she will play for this summer.

The 16Us will represent Manitoba at the 2026 16U Girls National Championships from Aug. 20-23 in Moncton, NB.

The 14U Girls Development Team also had local representation named to the team in Lundar’s Halle Johnson and Charley Miller, along with Selkirk’s Addison Zebinski, while Selkirk’s Ty Zebinski joins the staff as an assistant coach.

The team will also have home field this summer at the 2026 14U Girls Western Championships from Aug. 14-16 in Ile des Chenes, MB.
