The Royals went 0-3 in Pool 1, but were competitive in stretches throughout the round robin.

Lord Selkirk opened the tournament with a close 3-2 loss to the Stonewall Rams, showing early they could keep pace in a tightly contested matchup.

They followed with a 6-2 loss to the Steinbach Regional Sabres before wrapping up pool play with a 3-1 defeat against St. John’s-Ravenscourt.

Despite the results, the tournament provided an important opportunity for the young Royals roster to adjust to the pace and structure of high school hockey while competing against experienced programs.

Lord Selkirk continued into the crossover round, where they faced the Churchill Bulldogs but were defeated 5-0.

While the scoreboard didn’t tilt in their favour, the Royals gained valuable ice time and experience that will help build the foundation for future success within the program.
