The Viterra Championship is returning to the east in 2026.
On Feb. 9, CurlManitoba announced that Selkirk will be the host city for the 2026 event during the final day of the 2025 Viterra Championship, which was held in Portage la Prairie.

This will mark the sixth time that the Selkirk Recreation Complex has hosted the Manitoba Men’s Championship and the seventh time overall in Selkirk.
“The Selkirk Recreation Complex is one of Manitoba’s best curling venues,” said CurlManitoba Executive Director Craig Baker in a press release on Feb. 9. “This venue has provided excellent curling and entertainment for about three decades. I am excited to see this current group of competitors playing there.”

Selkirk last hosted the event in 2022 when Team McEwen claimed victory in a spectator-free Selkirk Curling Club due to COVID-19 restrictions.
The previous three championships took place at Neepawa’s Yellowstone Community Recreation Centre, Stonewall’s Veteran’s Memorial Sports Complex, and Portage la Prairie’s Stride Place.
On Feb. 9 in Portage la Prairie, Team Carruthers defeated Team Calvert 9-7 in the final of the 2025 Viterra Championship, securing a berth to the 2025 Manitoba’s Brier.
A trip to the Brier will once again be on the line when the tournament returns to Selkirk in 2026.
