Donuts for athletes

Date:

Lilas Billard of Le Vignau, France, left, stopped by Tim Hortons in Stonewall on Feb. 1 to purchase a box of special donuts from local Special Olympian Kiefer Milbrandt and his mother, Claudine Lambert. Stonewall Tim Hortons staff assisted Milbrandt with decorating donuts and selling them to customers. In total, Stonewall customers purchased 388 donuts, raising $776 for Special Olympics Canada. Every Special Olympics donut sold at Tim Hortons from Jan. 31 to Feb. 2 helped support Special Olympics athletes, including Milbrandt. Milbrandt, a 14-year-old speed skater and skier, is one of many athletes across Manitoba who benefit from Tim Hortons’ Special Olympics donut fundraiser.
