Outdoor concert supports Argyle community organizations

Date:

Oklahoma-based band Tennessee Jet performed at an outdoor fundraising concert at Willow Grove Orchard, south of Argyle, on June 19. Argyle musician Amanda Canon opened the show as 117 attendees enjoyed an evening of live country rock music. Organized with the support of Merle Balsillie, co-owner of Standard Limestone Quarries and Glacial Stone, the event marked Tennessee Jet’s first Canadian performance. Approximately $7,000 from the inaugural Argyle Rocks fundraiser will be shared among several community organizations, including the Argyle Skating Club, Argyle Curling Club, Argyle Memorial Community Centre, Settlers, Rails & Trails Museum and Brant-Argyle Legion Branch 222.
