Teulon JV girls capture MacGregor title

Date:

The Teulon Collegiate junior varsity girls (White) volleyball team captured first place at the MacGregor Tournament held Oct. 3–4, winning the championship match in a thrilling third set, 17-15, against Major Pratt. The 10-team tournament saw Teulon face MacGregor, WMCI, Carman and Major Pratt in round-robin play. The team advanced to the semifinals, where they defeated Prairie Mountain in two straight sets to earn a spot in the final. Strong serving, key blocks, and consistent setting helped Teulon stay composed as points traded back and forth in the deciding match. Coaches Mike R. and Derek C. praised their players’ perseverance and focus in securing the win. The previous week, the Teulon JV girls finished sixth out of 20 teams at the Virden tournament, showing continued growth and determination early in the season.
