Winter wonderland

Date:

The Doug Ives and sons Maxy and Nico were enjoying the first snowfall of the season at Jimm’s Hill Sunday morning. Mother Nature dumped large amounts of snow throughout the Interlake after a snow squall developed over night on Saturday moving cold air over the relatively warmer waters of Lake Winnipeg. Under the snow squall bands, visibility was significantly reduced due to the heavy snow, and snow quickly accumulated. Some areas received in excess of 25 cm of snow.
