Whips, Bisons post victories, Mud Hens fall

Two of the three local teams were victorious in Border Baseball League action over the weekend.

The Winkler Whips bolstered their East Division first-place record to 4-1 with a 7-1 victory over the Cartwright Twins, while the Altona Bisons, in second place at 3-1, trounced the Holland A’s 7-1.

Meanwhile, the third-place Morden Mud Hens  (2-3 for the summer so far)  fell to the Regals in Baldur 7-5.

Rounding out the division are the Carman Cardinals in last place with an 0-5 record.

This week Tuesday saw Morden playing in Winkler and Carman in Altona. On Friday, the Cardinals host the Mud Hens and the Whips host the Bisons.
