Oakley Vision hosts customer appreciation event

Date:

A long-standing Interlake clinic is inviting the community through its doors this spring with a customer-focused event that combines savings, selection and personalized service.

Oakley Vision Centre will host a customer appreciation event from May 19 to 22, offering 25 per cent off all frames, lenses and sunglasses, along with savings of up to 50 per cent on multi-pair purchases. Shoppers will also have the chance to enter a draw to win their purchase back.

The event will feature an expanded selection of eyewear, including an increased inventory of sunglasses and a wide range of brands such as Ray-Ban, Maui Jim, Oakley, Vogue and Michael Kors. Frame representatives will be on site throughout the event, giving customers the opportunity to explore full collections and receive expert guidance.

“We’ve increased our sunglasses stock especially for this event,” said Dr. Kent Borkowsky. “From Kate Spade to Oakley and everything in between, we’ve got you covered. Having frame reps on site with their entire collections means unparalleled hands-on choice.”

While the promotion highlights the clinic’s optical boutique, it also reflects a deeper connection to the community it has served for more than 70 years.

Established in 1954, Oakley Vision Centre has grown alongside the Interlake region, continuing to evolve while maintaining its small-town values.

“Over the years, we’ve focused on improving the quality of eye care we provide,” Borkowsky said. “That means utilizing the newest technologies to examine the eye and diagnose eye health issues earlier.”

As a family-owned practice, the clinic has built long-term relationships with patients across generations.

“Being a family-owned optometry practice is so special because of the close personal relationships we can build,” he said. “Seeing three and even four generations of the same family is not uncommon for us.”

That balance between innovation and personalized care remains central to the clinic’s approach.

“Staying up to date with eye care technology is the only way to provide the best care for your community,” Borkowsky said. “If your patients are taken care of from an eye health perspective, then the whole community can thrive together.”

Oakley Vision Centre offers comprehensive services for patients of all ages, with an emphasis on detailed, whole-patient care.

“What sets us apart is our attention to detail and our whole-patient approach,” Borkowsky said. “We look at how a patient’s overall health is connected to their eye health.”

One growing concern the clinic is seeing is the rise of myopia, or nearsightedness, particularly among children.

“Myopia is increasing globally, and we understand the importance of slowing its progression while children are still growing,” he said.

During a typical visit, patients can expect a thorough exam along with guidance tailored to their individual needs.

“It’s about taking that whole-patient approach to eye care and then pairing it with an extensive eyewear selection,” Borkowsky said.

That selection is a key part of the experience, with staff working closely with patients to find frames that suit both function and style.

“Our experienced staff can find the right frame for every patient, from classic styles to modern designs,” he said.

Borkowsky noted that choosing eyewear in person offers clear advantages, particularly when it comes to fit, comfort and long-term care.

“Part of buying local is having the convenience to get your glasses adjusted and cleaned right here in the Interlake,” he said. “We have staff available five days a week, and we’re always just a phone call away.”

For those who have not yet visited the clinic, the upcoming event offers an ideal opportunity to experience both the service and selection firsthand.

“Oakley Vision Centre isn’t just for eye exams,” Borkowsky said. “It’s for fashionable and functional eyewear and sunglasses. We should all enjoy something that we wear on our face every day. Glasses become part of our personality — let us help you express yourself in style.”

With extended hours on Wednesday and Thursday, the Customer Appreciation Event is designed to make it easy for residents across the Interlake to stop in, explore new options and take advantage of the savings.
