Get ready to be entertained and support a great cause at the Woodlands Rec Club’s upcoming fundraising talent night on Feb. 24. The rec club has teamed up with CFRY Radio to bring you an unforgettable evening of live performances from local talents, all in aid of upgrading the outdoor rink and rec centre facilities.
Tune in to 920AM CFRY Radio or make your way down to the Woodlands Community Hall to be part of the action. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and admission is only $5. Live entertainment will start at 7 p.m. Refreshments will be available for purchase.
Rec Club executive member, Rene Kotelko told the Tribune that they are overwhelmed by the support from local businesses who have stepped up as sponsors for this event. Their generosity demonstrates their commitment to help enhance the recreational facilities.
Currently twelve talented contestants have registered, each eager for their chance at winning a cash prize. Performers that are set to entertain so far are: Shalene Varnes, Trey King, Sadie Norberg, Zack Voth, Yuli Simonson, Lina Simonson, Aaron Lavallee, Cameron Ducharme, Woodlands Childcare, Trevor King, Paisley Fisher and Blake Tully and Lovella Bolun.
Anyone still interested in showcasing their talents or making advance pledges can contact Carly Howelko at woodlandreccentre@outlook.com or call 204-461-2588.
